Dear Alumni and Friends,
Thank you for visiting Jackson State University's Planned Giving website. Planned gifts are charitable contributions that are part of a donor's financial or estate plans, which are typically given to nonprofits once the donor passes away.
While there are a few different ways to make a planned gift, a bequest is the most popular and easiest type of planned gift. Bequests are left in a donor's trust, will, or estate plan, and are given to a nonprofit upon the donor's passing. Bequests are a great option for everyone as they don't cost a donor anything during their lifetime.
Planned gifts also include gifts of equity, life insurance, real estate, personal property, or cash. We have many deserving programs to invest in here at JSU, and making a bequest in your will is a powerful way to ensure JSU will continue for years to come.
If you are interested in making a Planned Gift to JSU to create your own legacy, we welcome the opportunity to talk with you. And for those of you who are thinking about it, I'd like to express my sincere appreciation and encourage you to begin a conversation with our gift planning team.
For more information about making a bequest or other planned gift to Jackson State University, contact the Major and Planned Gifts Department at (601) 979-2282.
Thank you for remembering Jackson State University in your charitable giving!
